ScrapeOwl
ScrapeOwl is a web scraping API that fetches a page through rotating or residential proxies and returns just the elements you ask for, for developers and growth teams pulling data from sites at scale.
Updated October 2026

Overview: What is ScrapeOwl?
Plans start at $29 a month for 250,000 credits, with 1,000 free credits on sign-up (checked October 2026).
You send one request with a URL and the CSS or XPath selectors you want, and it returns JSON. It can run JavaScript in headless Chrome, use residential IPs in 15 countries, wait for elements, and run custom scripts before capture. In outbound work it's a building block for custom data: pulling job posts, directories or pricing pages into a list that a person or an enrichment step then works.
Fit: Ideal customer profile.
Developers and technical growth or RevOps people who know what data they need from which sites and want the proxy and browser work handled. It isn't a ready-made database: someone has to write the selectors and keep them working when a target site changes.
- Custom list building
- Price and catalog monitoring
- No-code scraping via Zapier or Make

Usage
How to use ScrapeOwl.
Sign up, copy your API key and POST to api.scrapeowl.com/v1/scrape with the URL and the elements you want. It works from cURL, Python, Ruby or Node, and from no-code tools: the site lists Zapier, Make (Integromat), Parabola and Postman, and Integrately offers ready connectors. Push the output to Google Sheets, Clay or your CRM and enrich from there.

Questions
Frequently asked.
Is there a free ScrapeOwl plan?
New accounts get 1,000 free credits with no credit card. After that, plans start at $29 a month for 250,000 credits (checked October 2026).
How does the ScrapeOwl API work?
You POST your API key, the target URL and optional selectors to api.scrapeowl.com/v1/scrape. Leave the elements empty to get the full page, or set render_js and premium_proxies for harder sites.
How are ScrapeOwl credits counted?
1 credit per basic request, 5 with JavaScript rendering, 10 with residential proxies and 25 with both. Each response shows the request cost, and a 404 page is still billed.
What are ScrapeOwl's limits?
Residential IPs cover 15 countries, element extraction doesn't work in proxy mode, and waits and element timeouts only work with JavaScript rendering on. Public reviews are thin, so test it on your own target sites.
What are the alternatives to ScrapeOwl?
ScrapingBee, ScraperAPI and ZenRows are the closest scraping APIs, Apify is a marketplace of ready-made scrapers called Actors, and Bright Data sells proxy networks, scrapers and ready datasets.
