01
Capture signup via webhook
When a visitor submits your signup form, fire a webhook into Clay with name and email.
- Add webhook endpoint to website signup form
- Pass full name and email address as payload
- Clay receives each signup in real time
02
Enrich account and contact
Use Clay enrichment providers to append company and person attributes for scoring.
- Run account enrichment: industry, headcount, geography, funding
- Run contact enrichment: job title, seniority, LinkedIn profile, work email
- Store all enriched fields in standardized Clay columns
03
Normalize columns
Ensure all downstream scoring and routing logic reads from a consistent schema.
- Create fixed columns: Company Name, Company LinkedIn URL, Headcount, Full Name, Job Title, Work Email, LinkedIn Profile URL
- Map enrichment outputs into these columns
- Handle nulls or malformed data with fallback logic
04
AI qualification filter
Use a ChatGPT prompt to disqualify signups that do not match ICP or role relevance.
- Pass enriched company and role data into ChatGPT integration
- Prompt checks: company ICP alignment and role relevance
- Tag record as Qualified or Not Qualified
- Stop workflow for Not Qualified records
05
Score and tier leads
Apply a formula in Clay that assigns a tier based on fit criteria.
- Define scoring formula aligned to ICP: headcount, industry, seniority, geography
- Assign Tier 1 (strong fit), Tier 2 (good fit), or Tier 3 (okay fit)
- Store tier value in a dedicated column
06
Find champions and decision makers at Tier 1 accounts
For high-fit companies, use AI Ark, Clay, and Apollo to locate additional relevant contacts.
- Run AI Ark contact finder for Tier 1 company LinkedIn URL
- Fall back to Clay or Apollo if AI Ark returns no results
- Filter by job title keywords and seniority level
- Enrich contact email and LinkedIn profile for each result
07
Manual outreach for Tier 1
Route Tier 1 contacts into HeyReach for personalized LinkedIn messages based on signup context.
- Push Tier 1 contact list to HeyReach
- Personalize first message using signup data and enrichment fields
- Rep reviews and approves each message before send
08
Automated sequences for Tier 2 and Tier 3
Send Tier 2 and Tier 3 contacts into Instantly email sequences tailored to fit level.
- Push Tier 2 contacts to Instantly sequence A
- Push Tier 3 contacts to Instantly sequence B
- Each sequence uses ICP tier to adjust messaging and follow-up cadence
09
