Scrubby
Scrubby is an email verification tool for catch-all and risky addresses, the ones SMTP-based verifiers and data providers label unknown or accept-all, for outbound teams and lead gen agencies.
Updated October 2026

Overview: What is Scrubby?
Plans start at $47 a month for 6,000 credits, with a 7-day trial and 200 free credits (checked October 2026).
A catch-all domain accepts mail for any address, so a normal SMTP check can't say whether a person exists. Scrubby's Deep check sends real emails to those addresses and watches how the mail servers respond over 72 hours, including delayed bounces. Scrubby itself says to run it only on the risky slice of a list, after a regular verifier has cleared the rest, so it sits between list building and the sequencer.
Fit: Ideal customer profile.
Teams sending cold email to B2B lists where a large share of addresses come back catch-all or risky from their current verifier or data provider. It isn't a full replacement for a standard verifier, and it's a poor fit if you need instant answers, since Deep results take 24 to 72 hours.
- Catch-all email verification
- Recovering risky leads instead of deleting them

Usage
How to use Scrubby.
Run your list through a standard verifier or take the risky and catch-all results from your data provider (Apollo, ZoomInfo or Cognism, for example), then upload only those rows to Scrubby. Clay connects through Scrubby's HTTP API, with a published guide, and the API docs live at api.scrubby.io/docs. Its integrations page lists other native connectors as coming soon (checked October 2026).

Questions
Frequently asked.
How much does Scrubby cost?
Monthly plans are $47 for 6,000 credits, $97 for 15,000 and $497 for 100,000. Pay-as-you-go credits are $0.008 each. A Deep check uses 3 credits, so 6,000 credits cover 2,000 Deep checks (checked October 2026).
How does Scrubby verify catch-all emails?
Its Deep check sends real emails to each address and watches the mail server's response for up to 72 hours, catching delayed bounces. Quick checks use other validation methods and return results in minutes.
Does Scrubby integrate with Clay?
Yes, through Scrubby's HTTP API, with a step-by-step guide on its integrations page. You can also bring your own ZeroBounce, NeverBounce or MillionVerifier API keys.
What are Scrubby's limits?
Deep results take 24 to 72 hours, which one independent comparison also flags, so it doesn't suit real-time checks at sign-up. Scrubby says it can't prevent soft bounces caused by sender reputation or content, and personal email domains can't sign up.
What are the alternatives to Scrubby?
BounceBan and Enrichley also focus on catch-all and accept-all addresses, while ZeroBounce and NeverBounce are standard bulk verifiers that many teams run first, before sending the risky remainder to a catch-all tool.
