Overview: What is VidMe?

Its old domain, vidme.ai, redirects to hooked.so. Hooked Pro costs $29 a month for 1,000 credits, and the app is also sold as a one-time pack (checked October 2026).

Hooked turns a script or a product photo into short videos: avatar ads to camera, product-in-hand demos, outfit try-ons, TikTok slideshows and narrated stories. Finished videos can be scheduled and published to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube from the same app. It's built for consumer and DTC advertising. For a B2B sales team it's a way to make short social ads, not a prospecting or outreach tool.

Fit: Ideal customer profile.

Ecommerce and DTC brands, solo creators and small agencies that publish short ads on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube and want volume without booking creators. It's a poor fit for B2B teams that need personalized prospecting videos or recorded demos. The product has also changed its name and its plans since 2025, so check the current terms before you commit.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Is VidMe the same as Hooked?

VidMe's website, vidme.ai, now redirects to hooked.so, which sells the same kind of app: AI avatar and UGC-style videos with a scheduler for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. The monthly plans in older VidMe reviews, such as $39 a month, are no longer listed.

How much does Hooked cost?

Pro is $29 a month for 1,000 credits, about 10 UGC ads. The app is also sold once, at $89 for the app or $99 with the course on launch pricing in October 2026, with AI usage paid to your own providers.

What are Hooked's limits?

Credits cap how much you make on Pro, and the one-time packs need your own API keys, which takes some setup. It's aimed at consumer ads, so B2B teams won't find prospecting or personalized sales video features.

What are the alternatives to VidMe?

HeyGen and VEED make avatar videos from a script or prompt, Synthesia is built for polished corporate and training video, and MakeUGC is a script-first AI ad generator.
