TheirStack
TheirStack is a technographic and hiring signal tool that finds companies by the technologies named in their job postings and the roles they're hiring for, for sales and marketing teams building account lists.
Updated October 2026

Overview: What is TheirStack?
It's free to start with 50 company credits and 200 API credits a month, and API plans start at $49 a month (checked October 2026).
Because it reads job ads rather than website code, TheirStack can see tools that never show up on a company's homepage, such as a data warehouse or an ERP. TheirStack says it tracks 33,000 technologies across 256 million job postings from more than 195 countries. You can also search job text for keywords tied to the problem you solve, such as invoice management, and get alerts on new matches.
Fit: Ideal customer profile.
Teams whose ICP is defined by the software a company runs or the roles it's hiring, especially for backend, data and finance tools that don't appear on a website. It's not a contact database: you still need an enrichment tool for emails and phones, and it sees little at small companies that rarely post jobs.

Search the app by technology or job keywords, reveal the companies that fit, and export them to CSV or Excel. For automation, the API returns jobs, companies, technographics and buying intents, and webhooks push new jobs and companies to you. Clay has a TheirStack integration for pulling a company's open jobs by domain, and most teams add contacts from a separate enrichment tool before outreach.

Questions
Frequently asked.
How much does TheirStack cost?
There's a free plan, API plans from $49 a month for 1,500 credits, and one-time packs of app company credits from $109 for 1,000 companies. Bulk datasets are priced by sales (checked October 2026).
How does TheirStack know what technology a company uses?
It reads job postings. When a company asks for experience with a tool in a job ad, TheirStack records that the company uses it, so you can see backend and internal tools a website scan would miss.
Does TheirStack integrate with Clay?
Yes, Clay has a TheirStack integration that pulls a company's current job openings by domain. TheirStack also has an API, webhooks and an MCP server.
What are TheirStack's limits?
It gives you companies and jobs, not people, so you need another tool for contacts. Detection depends on what job ads mention, so companies that hire rarely or through agencies show less. Each export is capped at 200 jobs per company.
What are the alternatives to TheirStack?
BuiltWith and Wappalyzer detect technology from website code, PredictLeads sells hiring, news and technology adoption data, and Apollo pairs basic technographic filters with a contact database.
