Twenty
Twenty is an open source CRM that technical teams shape to their own data model, then self-host or run on Twenty's cloud.
Updated October 2026

Overview: What is Twenty?
Cloud plans start at $9 per user per month on Pro, billed yearly, with a 30-day free trial and no credit card needed (checked October 2026).
The code is public on GitHub, where the repository had about 58,900 stars in October 2026. Most of it is licensed under AGPLv3, with some enterprise files under a commercial license. You build objects, fields and views from Settings or as code with the Twenty SDK. In a sales stack it's the system of record for accounts, contacts and opportunities, with email and calendar sync next to them.
Fit: Ideal customer profile.
Companies with an engineer or a technical RevOps lead who wants a CRM they can model and extend in code, and teams whose customer data has to stay on their own servers. It's a weaker fit for a sales team that wants a ready-made pipeline with nothing to build, or that needs SSO on a budget, since SSO starts on the $19 Organization plan.

Questions
Frequently asked.
Is Twenty CRM free?
The open source core is free to self-host, so you pay only for your own server. Twenty Cloud costs $9 per user per month on Pro, billed yearly, after a 30-day free trial.
Is Twenty really open source?
Yes. The code is on GitHub and mostly licensed under AGPLv3. Files marked as enterprise sit under a commercial license that needs a paid subscription, and the SDK packages are MIT licensed.
Does Twenty have an API?
Every plan includes a REST and GraphQL API, webhooks and an MCP server for AI assistants. Cloud Pro allows 50 API calls a minute and Organization allows 100.
What are Twenty's limits?
Self-hosting puts the server, backups and upgrades on your team. SSO, row-level permissions and audit logs need the $19 Organization plan, and Cloud Pro includes only 50 workflow credits a year.
What are the alternatives to Twenty?
Attio is a hosted CRM built around custom data models. HubSpot and Pipedrive are hosted sales CRMs that need less setup. Salesforce is the enterprise CRM that Twenty calls itself an open alternative to.
